The IoSR in New York
IoSR researchers presented four very well received papers at the recent 139th International Audio Engineering Society Convention in New York. These papers describe some of the findings of research supported by the BBC, Cirrus Logic and the EPSRC, and contribute to: new international standards on loudness measurement [1]; our understanding of the ways in which experimental technique can bias results [2]; the formulation of a new approach to microphone design and optimisation [3]; and the development of the next generation of domestic spatial audio systems [1,4].
